Their Twitter Friendship Goes To The Next Level
A Twitter flirtation has turned into a possible real-life relationship for Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy and NBA player Andre Drummond.
It used to be that Match.com was all of the rage for finding a date, but it looks like there's a new dating service in town: Twitter. Detroit Pistons player Andre Drummond has been courting Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy all summer on the social media site.
The harmless flirtation began earlier this year when the athlete kept posting photos of McCurdy for "Woman Crush Wednesdays" on his account. He called the Sam and Cat star his "woman crush."
The two began following each other on Twitter and a friendship blossomed. About a week ago, the star posted a photo of the 20-year-old NBA player on Instagram for "Man Crush Mondays." That's when the photos that were subsequently posted became really interesting.
The duo met in person for the first time over the weekend and it seems that a few sparks might have flown throughout their time together. After their first meeting on Aug. 29, Drummond posted an Instagram photo with the athlete giving the 21-year-old McCurdy a piggyback ride.
His caption read, "Words can't explain! Add your own caption…" After her name, he added two hearts.
The rest of the weekend continued with shots by the pool, Vine videos and a trip to Disneyland. They were even holding hands in one photo taken at the Happiest Place On Earth.
This leaves fans speculating whether the two are officially a couple or if it was just a fun internet flirtation come to life. Everyone will have to wait and see, but they sure do seem smitten with each other.
