We're the Millers star Emma Roberts is probably used to getting what she wants, when she wants it — it's a perk of growing up in a famous family. However, the actress found out the hard way that New Yorkers don't typically care about a person's status when it comes to waiting in line for food.
The actress — in town to promote her new film with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis — attempted to get her hands on a cronut at the Dominique Ansel Bakery by cutting through the blocks-long line for the $5 half-donut, half-croissant creation. She brazenly walked to the front of the line before being denied entry by the eatery's bodyguards.
Roberts then sulked back to the end of the line before leaving a few minutes later.
However, she did get the last laugh in the end: Jimmy Fallon presented Roberts with her very own cronut during her Thursday appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
"I have literally waited weeks to try one of @DominiqueAnsel's Cronuts and it was definitely worth the wait!" she tweeted afterward.
It's a sweet moment in a tumultuous month for Roberts. Montreal, Quebec, police arrested the actress in July for hitting her boyfriend, actor Evan Peters.
"They're a couple of young kids," a source told Us Weekly of the pair's violent fight. "Their romance is pretty extreme. They just behave in a way that's very passionate."
They later released a joint statement saying it was "an unfortunate incident."
