Rebel Wilson could not be funnier in Bridesmaids as Brynn, the socially awkward roommate of Kristen Wiig's character. In addition to her icky relationship with her equally weird brother, Brynn has a habit of oversharing about her sexual escapades. We'll never look at McDonald's breakfast the same way again.
That sounds difficult — like patting your stomach and rubbing your head at the same time. It also sounds extremely funny coming from Fat Amy, particularly when you form a mental picture.
Well, we can't speak to her crazy good Asian ping-pong skills, but — now that her character in Struck by Lighting points it out — Wilson does have quite a nice complexion. Coupled with the table tennis talent, we'd call that winning.
Hear, hear! You can't just go tossing that word around at the drop of a hat. It requires finesse. It requires poise. It requires Fat Amy.
Only Wilson can make being a dumb blonde (in character, of course) so uncomfortably likable. True, we want to punch Brynn in Bridesmaids... but we also kind of want to be her bestie. Don't tell.
Don't you just love it when a celebrity gives you a line that proves infinitely useful to you in real life? We throw out this little gem for all kinds of comebacks. Guy cuts in front of us at the drive-through? I'm gonna finish him like a cheesecake. Boyfriend giving you s*** about your friends? I'm gonna finish him like cheesecake. The applications are endless. Thanks, Rebel!
In What to Expect When You're Expecting, Wilson's character, Janice, admittedly steals ideas from the internet. Coincidentally, Wilson steals pretty much every scene she's in. Fitting, no?
This Bridesmaids scene in and of itself could have spawned a whole series of GIFs. We settled for this one, though, 'cause we like to see Wilson's Mexican drinking worm shimmy. Not to mention, it makes us think of the follow-up moment, in which she pours an open bag of peas on her back. So very funny.
In Pain & Gain, Wilson plays Robin Peck — an assistant at a medical facility that specializes in helping men, um, regain their virility. Or, as Wilson's character puts it, penis magic.
Wilson's facial expression in this scene is priceless — much like her ability with just one clip to bring back a phrase that went out of fashion (wait, was it ever in fashion?) in the '90s and turn it into something super-trendy again.
Brilliant — that's the word that comes to mind when watching any portion of Fat Amy's Barden Bellas audition in Pitch Perfect. If this doesn't make you want to dance, we just don't know what will.
Even in moments of sheer panic while fleeing from copious amounts of projectile vomit, Wilson is still funny. Making us laugh at vomit? Now that takes talent.
