While growing up, I always preferred my brother’s G.I. Joe to my Ken Doll… and Channing is the epitome of the sculpted action figure. Muscular, manly, macho… and those moves!!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played the Ginuwine scene from Magic Mike on loop. (If you don’t know what I’m referring to, you are missing out on cinematic gold. I strongly suggest you rent the movie and/or immediately watch that scene on YouTube.) Not only is he a dreamboat, but he is hilarious, talented and seems to be so indubitably in love with his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum. She must have been a Mother Theresa-type in a past life… and is quite possibly the luckiest woman on earth.
As much as I adore Channing, Henry sits right next to him on the I-Wish-He-Was-My-Boyfriend Totem Pole. I have adored him ever since drooling over his character, Charles Brandon, on The Tudors. He has a certain je ne sais quoi… and I had a feeling (just like the rest of the world) that he would be the next big thing. I was thrilled when I found out he would be playing Superman. Some real "manly men" finally taking the stage! I don’t know about you, but I think he would be an excellent choice for the next James Bond. Channing has the moves, but Henry has that English accent! It’s a tough choice, kids.
Channing Tatum: He can dance (Magic Mike), do comedy (21 Jump Street), romance (The Vow), drama (A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints) and be an action star (G.I. Joe). He’s also been nominated for a handful of People’s Choice, MTV and Teen Choice awards.
Henry Cavill: So far, I have only seen him in period pieces and as Superman… but he was wonderful in those.
Channing Tatum: He leads a very healthy lifestyle, has no arrests that I know of, no rehab stints and seems to be quite the family man with their new baby, Everly.
Henry Cavill: I love that he still likes to play video games with his family. He seems very grounded and not too caught up in the fame game.
Channing Tatum: I've only heard wonderful things from people who have worked with him. He also gives to several different causes and charities.
Henry Cavill: I’ve only heard nice things. I know the media is trying to paint him out to be a bit of a Lothario, but I don’t think that is the case.
Channing Tatum: Many photos of the cute couple walking their dogs.
Henry Cavill: He had a pet parrot. Awww.
Channing Tatum: He attended college on a football scholarship. He dropped out, but at least he tried.
Henry Cavill: He apparently knows nine languages and can speak four fluently. Impressive!
Channing Tatum: He says the No. 1 secret to their successful marriage is honesty. He has been with Jenna since they met on Step Up in 2006. From what I understand, he is faithful and they are very much in love… so much so, that there still is a lot of PDA. Lucky, lucky girl.
Henry Cavill: It seems like he tried with Gina Carano. He put in two weeks with Kaley Cuoco. Maybe he just hasn’t met his match yet? I read an interview that he prefers blondes…? [Coughs loudly. Waves hand in the air.]
