Someone is ready to be a bride. That someone is Kelly Clarkson, who shared one of her engagement photos with her followers on Twitter on Thursday.
The photo shows the gorgeous singer sitting by a window sandwiched between two huge bookshelves. She's outfitted in a big poufy wedding dress while she reflectively reads a book. Her hair is swept back and topped off with a sparkly headband accessorizing her blond locks.
There aren't any shoes to showcase because the Grammy winner is barefoot and comfortable. The peacefulness on her face is evident in the beautiful simplicity of the photo.
Clarkson is gearing up for her fall wedding to fiancé Brandon Blackstock, which will happen in Nashville, Tennessee. The Oct. 20 nuptials will feature the bride in a Vera Wang design. There's no word as to whether the photo features her actual wedding gown.
In a February interview with People, the American Idol winner promised she's "not going to be a bridezilla." However, she sure is excited to be a Mrs.
The couple got engaged in December 2012 after dating for a year. The wedding is expected to be a country celebration with Blake Shelton officiating and Blackstock's stepmother Reba McEntire in attendance.
Even her recent single reflects the changes in her personal life. Her latest song "Tie It Up" talks all about her upcoming marriage to the music manager, with lyrics like:
"I love the ring of your name, you're the ying to my yang
Oh, baby, let's give it a shot
Every wall needs a frame,
Every ball needs a chain
I'm talkin' about tying the knot"
Given the singer's excitement, fans should expect to see more of Clarkson's new life in the upcoming months. The wedding is only three months away.
