Justin Timberlake and Macklemore lead the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards nominees with five and six votes respectively.

It's Justin Timberlake's world... we're just living in it. At least that's the vibe we get from the 2013 MTV Video Music Award nominations. The "Suit and Tie" singer is nominated for five awards at this year's show, including Video of the Year.

That's not to say he has it all in the bag, though: Macklemore is nominated for six awards of his own, thanks to 2013's inescapable earworm "Thrift Shop." The 29-year-old rapper — and producer Ryan Lewis — will compete with JT and fellow heavyweights Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke and Taylor Swift for the coveted Video of the Year prize.
