Whatever happened to loving your fellow man? CNN reports that televangelist Pat Robertson has made some pretty hateful comments toward the gay community recently. Robertson has never been one to hide his disgust with homosexuality, but this might be a whole new low for him.
The comments came up on Monday's episode of The 700 Club when a viewer asked for Robertson's opinion on how they should address pictures of same-sex couples that come up on social media sites like Facebook.
"You've got a couple of same-sex guys kissing, do you like that? Well that makes me want to throw up," he said. "To me I would punch 'Vomit;' not 'Like,'" he added. "But they don't give you that option on Facebook."
"Vomit" seems to be one of Robertson's favorite words. He's used it before when talking about his opinions about homosexuality, as well as when he said that the land would "vomit out" those who disobeyed the commandments of the Old Testament.
Sounds like Robertson needs to get himself a thesaurus.
In the past, he's made other comments on the subject, including: "Many of those people involved in Adolf Hitler were Satanists. Many were homosexuals. The two things seem to go together."
When asked about Walt Disney World's "Gay Days," he has also said: "I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags in God's face if I were you. It'll bring about terrorist bombs; it'll bring earthquakes, tornadoes and possibly a meteor."
He's also made some interesting comments on feminism, including: "The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."
