JLo Has Finally Made It
JLo appeared on the scene almost 20 years ago and hasn't stopped or slowed down since. She was rewarded for all her hard work by receiving the 2,500th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Even after millions of albums sold and numerous hit movies, Jennifer Lopez just passed a new big milestone in her life by receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday.
Not only was she given the honor, but it was an especially significant moment because she was given the 2,500th star.
Lopez was accompanied by her boyfriend, Casper Smart, as well as her twins Max and Emme. Keenan Ivory Wayans, Pitbull and Jane Fonda also showed up to talk about their experiences with the actress and singer. Fonda and Lopez worked together on the film Monster-In-Law.
"She should have an entire block of stars," Fonda told CBS. "In my opinion, she's only scratched the surface in what she's capable of."
Pitbull and Lopez also have a song out together, “Live It Up.” She has collaborated with the rapper on her past three singles.
JLo herself also commented at the ceremony, saying, "I love you, thank you so much for going on this journey with me. This landmark moment inspires me to work harder and dream bigger for all that is the future. I hope you feel as I do that it was all worth it, and I hope that I have touched your hearts even in a small way."
And Lopez is only adding to her star power. She just joined the cast of 33, a movie about the Chilean miners who were trapped underground. She will be starring alongside Antonio Banderas and Martin Sheen.
The actress and singer keeps moving forward and is showing no sign of stopping any time soon.
“You have to evolve,” Lopez told The Telegraph. “I want to be the artist people know me as, but I also want to be me today — with all the experiences I’ve been through.”
