It's been a while since soap viewers have seen Lindsey Morgan on television. The actress, who's best known for her role as Kristina Corinthos-Davis on General Hospital, is no longer on the show. But before exiting, she gave a dynamic performance that earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress.
SheKnows hit the red carpet for this year's ceremony and spoke to Morgan on the big night. The actress revealed that not everyone was excited about her nomination. After the news broke, she got her fair share of supporters and haters.
"I definitely got some great well wishes, some beautiful sweet ones that really touched my heart," she said. "And then there were some haters. Sometimes it would hurt my feelings and then I'd put myself in that position and there's times when I'd see, oh someone got nominated, 'Oh that's messed up.' I'm the same way. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and that's how it is."
Sunday, Morgan competed against former cast mate Kristen Alderson, Hunter King (The Young and the Restless) and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (The Bold and the Beautiful). The award eventually went to Alderson for her role as Starr Manning.
Even though she didn't win, it was good to see Morgan reunited with her old co-stars.
