From my "Dear Diary" entries at age 8 to literary essays comparing James Joyce and William Faulkner in college, writing has always been like breathing for me. I went on to work as a family litigation paralegal, writing legal briefs, summary judgments. From there a career in higher education, freelance writing, ghost writing, and later got my masters degree in psychology and professional counseling. I've owned 8 successful busineses over the last 20 years and all the while writing has been an important piece.
I own a wellness center with counseling, coaching, aromatherapy, yoga and meditation services in Marietta, Georgia. I have recently launched an online marketplate for women over 40 that includes programs and products as well as life-redesign coaching services providing support for women in mid-life all over the world. My "Be Well" Blog is all about helping women over the age of 40 understand what is happening to their bodies and brains and making peace with it all.
Aside from my work out in the world and at the keyboard, I am a button-poppin'-proud mother to three truly incredible kids. Jonathan is 21 working as an apprentice in carpentry while studying sociology in college. Patrick is 18 and about to graduate high school and plans to study field biology in college. Madeline is 15, with talents that range from being the lead in the school play to acing her advanced math classes. Married to a truly great man who has sacrificed a great deal to provide a great life for his kids. I'm a lucky lady.
