I love nature, running, technology and social media. Those things helped develop me into the kind of mom, wife, social media trainer, friend and blogger I am today. I mean a lot. I've blogged about my son since he was two and posting pictures on my handmade website wasn't enough. I handed his blog over to him when he was nine. I continue to write at a different site where I focus on special needs and the information we all need to advocate for our kids. My daughter is seven and was born with one hand... Creating an online community for our famiy has helped us connect with people around the world.
My mom blogging has helped me direct my career into a social and web-based focus. I recently became the social media trainer for one of the country's largest non-profits. I was the online content manager for a local NBC affiliate and an associate professor at the Missouri School of Journalism. I use my advocacy site to experiment on things I eventually implement professionally. I love photography, running and trying to keep up with my kids as they participate in way too many activities.
