Hi! I'm Anna, though most in the village call me Na. I’ll respond to Anna Banana, Nanners, and Annie, too.
I have a sweet family: Brad, my bespectacled and bearded husband, and our three-year-old daughter Mabel, part old-soul, part wild-heart. And then there’s me, the teacher, the bookworm, the one who can’t stop writing.
I met Brad when I was 18. It was love at first sight when I caught sight of him skateboarding on our college campus, Taco Bell in hand. We've been married almost ten years, and we have packed up and moved homes more times then I can keep track of, definitely more then my fingers and toes can count. I was born in Japan, raised in sunny Arizona, lived in both metropolitan and rural Indonesia, and moved again to a beach town in California. We also relocated to Germany for five months last fall, where I discovered I could subsist on German pastries for the rest of my life should it come to that.
At the moment, you’ll find us in the mountains of Indonesia living in a village of mostly rice and coffee farmers. I keep the exact location private out of respect to those from the village whose stories I include on this blog. All names are changed, as well. Our family is on an adventure together. You can read all about it here.
