When I think of myself these days the only word that comes readily to mind is "Grandma". Since my first grandbaby came along (and I say first because my gorgeous DIL is preggers again! Way to go hun, woooo-hooo!) I am absolutely reveling in this Granny thing. I'm very blessed to be able to share in her daily care now that mum is back at work and my days are filled with Sesame Street, singing silly songs, walks to the park to swing, and finding butterflies, and blow soap bubbles... I can't wait for her sib to join us. I share my flat with a lovely little shaggy mutt named Bud, who has taken the usurption of her position as Light of my Life quite graciously and loves Squish almost as much as I do. When I'm not hanging with Squish or Bud I like to do crafts... if it requires a glue gun or mod podge I'm in. I'm brewing a book. Spending time around the younger mums and listening to what's important to them has given me an idea for a book; part cookbook, part tips and hints, part general info, and part anecdotes and stories that speaks to family life, shared values, creating a smaller footprint, recycle repurpose reuse, and stretching a dollar til it squeals. As a young wife and mum I was lucky to live for many years with my depression-era raised MIL, what she taught me about working within a budget, how to shop, what a real bargain is, etc, was invaluable to me and deserves to be passed on, I know there's a lot of other Bunnys out there with great tried and true ideas to pass along and I hope to get as many as possible into a great big book.
