LISA SAMET: ABOUT ME
What I Do:
By day, I am a VP of Continuing Ed and Corporate Coach at a Wall Street training firm. As a lifelong health enthusiast, though, my true passion is freelancing as a Life Coach, inspiring and empowering people to lead holistic, purposeful, and, most of all, happy lives. My new blog, Wake Up Goldilocks is about the always humorous, sometimes poignant, side of reaching mid-life, waking up, transforming yourself and writing your own storybook ending.
I have a great life. My husband is Psychologist, the Co-owner/Clinical Director of Hudson Learning Lab, a College Professor and after all that: He is an amazing chef! I married well!
I have two amazing daughters, Alex and Mackenzie. I don't know where we've gone wrong but our grown kids love to hang out with us. We go out to special dinners, they Instagram pics of the food, bring their friends and and we drink wine and laugh a lot. The fact that we pay for the meal is only half of it. I'm joking. They really enjoy spending time with us. That's my joy.
Our goal is to leave suburban Westchester, move to NYC with a place in the Hamptons. Of course, I would need a lot of money for that, but you never know. A girl can dream.
It is quite amazing and encouraging that my mom published her first of three books, Moving On, at the age of 82 and my dad, a businessman, only recently retired at the age of 84. I am quite proud of them. My brother lives here in Manhattan and my sister lives in Atlanta. I adore my nieces and nephews. I count my sister-in-laws as two of my best friends and my mother-in-law as my own inspirational life coach.
They are my support system, I cry with them, I laugh with them, I love them and I can't live without them.
