After telling her motherhood story for over 4 years, in 2012 Sharon Munroe developed a project about becoming a first-time mother after the age of 35. This labor of love discusses the barriers to healthy pregnancy and provides resources for women contemplating older motherhood and the many choices available, including pregnancy, fostering and adopting children.

The website is a collection of story submissions from mothers and expert voices across the U.S. Starting this summer, Sharon and her project manager Kathryn Sisler, a UT student in sociology and psychology will be conducting a new research project among local Austin women.
Sharon is a market research executive of an agency she co-founded called ReconMR and is the owner of Little Green Beans, Austin's children’s and maternity consignment boutique. She and her husband started their family when Sharon was 40 and they have two sons and a daughter.
