I spent most, but not all, of my growing-up years in rural Montana. While I was raised socially and religiously conservative, I was raised by parents who allowed questions and differing beliefs from their children. Consequently, by the time I was twenty I was on my way to becoming a feminist.
I consider myself to be a Christian Liberation feminist. I consider myself to be Pro-life, but I believe the effort should be directed towards the reduction (or elimination) of the causes of abortion, not the elimination of legal abortion. I believe that the separation of church and state should not eliminate religion or religious discourse from the public sphere. I am an independant at heart, but tend to vote Democrat. As for the liberal/moderate/conservative designation, I consider myself to be...independent.
I am currently living overseas.
