PJ Gach used to steal her mother's WWD from her briefcase when she came home from work. Hiding behind the couch in the living room, she devoured all the articles--even the ones that she didn't understand....Hey she started stealing the rag when she was 11.
Destined to enter the sciences, PJ got last minute cold feet and went to a college that she picked by sticking her finger on a page with her eyes closed to figure out what the hell she was going to do with her life. Somehow, she ended up majoring in Communications and having lots and lots of minors. PJ was an editor on her college newspaper.
She traveled around the country as a radio DJ. Then she started writing for a local newspaper, a few months later wrote an article for a regional paper, then a few months after that started writing for SPIN.com and RollingStone.com.
Tired of being chased backstage by musicians, PJ transitioned from a rock writer to a fashion/beauty editor who loves to cover food, cocktails and pets. She's written about urban gardening and Op Eds for the New York Post, had articles published in XOJane, the New York Observer, the Daily Mail and Teen Beat.
PJ has survived numerous NYFW; only was trampled on three times. It's no fun when you're as tall as Yoda.
Has been a co-host for Dressbarn's makeover web series, was a reality TV show contestant (she falls down real good), talent for Vidal Sassoon videos (she can speak!), and has written, produced and voiced over scripts.
Her constant companion is Sophie the Wonder Dog. A rescued Kooikerhundje with a penchant for chips and cheese.
She was featured in the May issue of The Ladies' Home Journal. PJ was also recently profiled in CareerGlider.com, and has just written her first back of the book blurb.
PJ Gach has been on the editorial staff of national sites.
At present she runs her own site, thequeenofstyle.com (come visit, a cup of coffee's waiting for you) and freelance writes for BlogHer and a few other sites as well.
