Cristina is a freelance food photographer, recipe developer/tester, and is the author of the Teenie Cakes food photography journal. The journal centers around food, recipes, and edible organic gardening with emphasis on: Using fresh, seasonal produce, when possible; Discovering and using healthier eating and food preparation alternatives; Experimenting with ingredients, flavor combinations and techniques; Portion control presentation and servings for dishes and desserts; Portraying and featuring tasty, beautiful food through writing and food photography.
Some of Cristina’s work has been featured in The Los Angeles Times’ Daily Dish, California Fig Advisory Board, Pasta sfoglia by Chefs Ron and Colleen Suhanosky, and the Wedding Connection Magazine.
She comes from both a technical and creative background with over 10 years as a web developer and designer for Fortune 500 companies. Cristina graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an emphasis in Information Systems. She’s happiest when creating dishes and desserts, nurturing her edible garden and home, traveling and always with a camera in hand. Cristina enjoys life with her beautiful husband and corgis in sunny Southern California.
