I got married because I loved my boyfriend and he loved me back. I also got married because I was pregnant. For the first few years of my marriage I contemplated the reasons why I got married. For some reason I felt ashamed that I was 2 months pregnant when I got married. I even kept my anniversary such a secret I had even forgotten the actual day. This still holds true, I forgot the date this year as well.
My husband and I met while I was in college. We became engaged and planned on a long engagement so that our wedding would be after he graduated (Dec 2006). We had our engagement party and had selected our wedding party and planning was underway. A month before his graduation I found out I was pregnant and off to the clerk we went. Instead of having a wedding on Memorial Day weekend of 2007, I had a baby girl.
Four years later I know that I could not have done anything more right. I love my family. We are great! Who cares if I was preggo when we vowed to love one another forever, it did not change anything. We meant what we said and we still do. My pregnancy was and is proof.
I got married becasue I loved my boyfriend and he loved me back. That's why.
