I went shopping after work yesterday to find a dress for a party I have to go to next weekend. There were plenty of dresses that I liked, the only problem is that none of them looked good on me. I really wanted to get one of those chevron print maxi dresses. I found a really cute one with yellow and brown stripes. It was a disaster off the hanger.
Right now I am about twenty pounds overweight. The problem is that I wear mostly scrubs at work and yoga pants at home which are very forgiving to the waistline. It only becomes a problem when I have to put on regular clothes. (Which is a very big problem).
This brings me to the questions of "What on earth am I going to wear to this party?" and "I really need to get rid of this extra weight". I am finally motivated this time. I think I finally want the maxi dress more than I want extra snacks. So I will watch what I eat and exercise regularly. One problem solved. It will take weeks until I see some results though and the party is on Sunday. Great. Maybe I'll just wear my scrubs.
