10 Fun Gift Ideas to Address a Toddler's Needs (and Wants!)
This Christmas we are concentrating on lots of fun functional items. Our house is overloaded with toys, and I'm not sure we can fit much more!
1| It's no secret that we have a big faux-fur obsession, and Sofia is in need of a good quality bath towel. I think this one fits the bill.
2| Her current washcloths haven't been holding up so well to the toddler mess on her face. Hopefully these will.
3| I know she would love some furry slippers to warm her little tootsies after bath time, or as Sofia says, "Bat-Bat."
5| Sofia has a HUGE love for cats. She calls them "kit-te!" but Mike is allergic and there's no way I'm adding another member to this circus of a family. So I think Rose the Cat would make everyone happy!
6| I know I said we were trying to stay away from toys, but a girl needs a few new ones, right!? I can totally see little Miss rocking the day away on this beauty. (Plus it doesn't look too bad with our décor!)
7| Sofia is a serial remote thief (along with every other toddler). Fingers crossed she thinks this one is the real deal.
8| Radio Flyer wagon! She needs this classic.
Random Must Haves
9| Sofia will only use straw cups and those suckers leak left and right. (Think lactating Mama -- it doesn't stop!). I've heard good things about these cups. Hopefully our floor won't be covered in milk anymore!
10| I've been eyeing these metallic bows for quite a while. I think it's finally time for Sofia to rock them in her mane of hair.
Growing up, Mike and I both got one big gift from Santa, and we want to carry on the tradition with Sofia. This year she's getting her favorite Little Tikes car. My niece has one and Sofia makes a beeline straight for it whenever we go over, then she throws the most dramatic tantrum when we have to leave the car there -- hands flailing, legs kicking, and screaming at the top of her lungs all while trying to jump out of my arms.
And then I go home and have a MASSIVE beer.
Hope you're getting into the Christmas spirit and drinking lots of festive beverages!
