"Making new friends as a new mom is easy," said no new mom ever. In fact, making mom friends is nortourious difficult. In addition to finding women you have simliar interests and values as, you also need to make sure any potential mom friends have children around the same age, a schedule that alligns with yours, live in close proximity, have similar ideals about how to raise children, and of course, is someone you enjoy being around.

Luckilly, mamas everywhere can now rejoice. Peanut, the newest swipe app in town, launched this year with the mission of connecting women, who happen to be moms, with one another. The app prompts you to add photos from facebook, pick three interests you have (from a list), and share the ages of your children - then you're ready to swipe. Peanut helps facilitate friendships between moms based on common interest, positivity, and motherhood only being one part of what makes you, you.

Using your location, its easy to connect with moms in your area that you can build long lasting friendships with. The chat platform in the app makes it easy to get to know each other before meeting or even exchanging numbers. Identifiers like "mom boss," "bookworm," and "crafty," can help women find friends with similar interests. Whether your perfect Saturday afternoon is crafting with kiddos, exploring nature, or grabbing a glass of wine you can find another momma nearby to hang with.

Peanut is currently available in the app store.
