Superwoman: Even mommies need a break

Right now, at this very second, I am sitting in what us mommies call “bliss.” It’s one of those rare moments where you can actually experience quiet time in a very busy life. My nineteen month old is sleeping. The dogs are resting. Hubby is working. Everyone is quietly occupied. To make it even better, it’s pouring rain outside – and I love rainy Sunday mornings. There’s a quiet hum coming from the dryer. The television is off. Basically, I’m sitting on my couch with no one trying to pull the keyboard away, no dogs chasing each other through the house, no Mickey Mouse Clubhouse grinding into my brain and no push to do anything except sit here and enjoy my coffee.
