2013 Countdown to Christmas 35 Days: Ways to save the Green Way this Holiday
We all want to do better when it comes to being green and saving some green along the way is just a plus so let’s find ways to do both. Begin with reusing I’ve already given some ideas on how to reuse items we accumulate throughout the year to help decorate packages so why not use those same items to decorate your home it’s simple and save a bunch. Try using an old charger or a large platter arrange with fresh berries, pinecones, and evergreen twigs add a small glass vase or bowl with some citrus skins oranges lemons and some fresh cranberries you can even add a floating votive for a classic look, all this for just pennies or free in your own back yard.
Disposable plates can be a the easy way out , however once you total the cost of the plates over just a week’s worth of family meals you can be spending up to $25.00 for just one week . Just remember to run your dishwasher when full you can save up to 400 gallons of water a month when you wash with a full load.
Serve one pot meals this will keep your work load down and give you more time for interacting with family and friends. By using one source of energy and you use less water when you only have to clean one pot. Check out the download page for simple inexpensive and multipurpose recipes at www.where2save.com
