Sleep, Then and Now

My nightly routine used to look like this: shower, get ready for bed, turn off the lights, settle into bed, then think or worry or wonder. Most nights, Hun and I used to have sex, no matter the hour we actually went to bed.

Then, I got pregnant. More evenings than not, I would unknowingly fall asleep on the couch for a bit. Maybe I slept for 30 minutes, maybe an hour, maybe 3 hours. I couldn't predict this occurrence, it just happened. Nonetheless, my pre-pregnancy nightly routine didn't really change. But, instead of nightly sex, we cuddled and talked to baby-to-be.
