Is Scrapbooking a requirement of motherhood? If so, I am failing

I have to admit to being a slacker mom when it comes to pictures.  I take TONS of pictures.  The thousands of pictures I have taken are sitting on my iphone and computer  unorganized.  We have random physical pictures from other more organized people, strewn about about the house that get loved on so much that they end up falling to pieces.  While I can whip out my phone at any time for the kids to look at it doesn't feel the same as a photo album that they can take with them.  And I always worry that as technology improves there may come a time when we might not be able to access what we have taken.  What happens if I lose my phone?  What happens if our computer crashes?  What happens if Shutterfly no longer flies?
