Oops. I thought I was going to have plenty of time to write a completely from scratch post about pumpkins. Hah. When I planned the Month of Pumpkins I apparently forgot that this was our 13 year old's birthday weekend.
Good thing a lot of other people have written posts about pumpkins...
The Scrogin Family went to a pumpkin patch and that's one cute kid.
Then there's the folks from Green Grass Grows ... umm... It looks like they had fun. Uh, quite the contrast between the two families, eh?
Hope is the thing with feathers made me queasy talking about fall in Chicago. They're talking SNOW overnight... I'm not amused! She also shares her recipe for Pumpkin Crunch, which sounds like something the kids would love (if we hadn't just OD'd on desserts at Claim Jumper.)
Now here's a recipe I've never seen before... Pumpkin & Prune Tea Bread. Interesting and worth trying, I think.
Did you know you can make pumpkin butter in a crockpot? I didn't!
I'll leave you with something else I would definitely eat... if I hadn't OD'd on birthday dessert... pumpkin cinnamon rolls. Click that link, look at those things... yum, right?
