Holy geez for excitement. We have a new favorite all-time activity.
Yesterday's ocean month project was a saltwater sensory bin. While Isaiah was napping, I filled a plastic storage container with water, added salt and a touch of blue food coloring. Then I grabbed a few of his plastic ocean animals and let them go for a quick dip.
Truth be told, it's such a simple project, I thought it would last no more than 15 minutes (15 minutes of thrilling, educational fun, mind you.)
Two hours later (you heard me!) we were still "swimming with the fishies."
We learned about whales, sharks, and sea turtles...and we even tasted the salt water.
Honestly, we couldn't have had more fun. I'm pretty sure the neighbors could hear our squeals and laughter three blocks away.
Don't mind us, we're just making memories. :)
Isaiah was so cute, tentative at first but once the fishies were worn out from swimming, he went into full splash mode.
I am loving the pictures I captured of him mid-splash. I have about 100 and I can't bring myself to delete a single one. It's like laughter captured in a bottle...
Seriously, I couldn't love this kid any more if I tried.
