The Rochester School Board agreed to expand the number of ,pt cameraCCTV cameras used in the district's elementary and middle schools.

The proposal, which was approved unanimously by the board, cctv wireless transmitter and receiver, wills nearly double the number of cameras in the district's 16 elementary schools from 26 to 51.

All of Rochester's elementary schools now have at least one security camera to cover each school's main entrance. The additional cameras will allow the installation of one or two extra CCTV cameras at each elementary building so that other entrances can be covered.

The project also includes upgrades of the CCTV camera systems at both the middle and high school levels. Read about it in Wednesday's print edition.
