Fingertip Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase.

~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

These words could apply to a million situations in life whether it's career, parenting, marriage, friendships, new endeavors, strengths, weaknesses, old habits or new goals. Each of us has our own fears and challenges to tackle on a daily basis. I will not presume to know the demons another must face, but I know my own.

Dr. King is correct; it's the first step that's the hardest to take when there is something at risk. Yet we cannot change or improve or do anything of consequence without taking some amount of risk. Faith is a powerful instrument to be kept within arm's length at all times. So, when doubt or fear or anxiety creep in, choose faith and take that step.

*I just saw this quote for the first time last night when exploring Liv Lane's Etsy Shop {of Choosing Beauty & whom I just met last Saturday}. It's very much on point for our family right now, and it struck a chord with me. I thought it might be on point for others too. I love the necklace that had this quote attached to it too.

It's Friday…. Go eat some chocolate. It's good for you, and you deserve it!

Anna

Nota Bene: I hold these truths to be self-evident, that all parents and kids are not created equally, but are wholly individual in personality and style. Regardless of these differences, the basic needs of love, patience and support remain constant. Here are the weekly affirmations, tips and reminders. Unless otherwise noted, these are entirely my opinion. Take them with a grain of salt, or not!
