This week marks the beginning of the school year, which means we will be working on getting used to new routines. While I love the idea of no more commuting (yay!) it will also be interesting to have a ton of time after school.
One of the things I am focusing on this week is super easy meals. These are the types of meals that you don't have to think about - you can just grab something and get it on the table. This summer, we've kind of worn ourselves out on turkey burgers, so I'm going to try and avoid that this week.
Because of my food allergies, we don't get too exotic. Here's some of the staples we stick to:
- Turkey sausage with red beans and rice (yes, still from a box)
- Chicken Tenders
- Mac n cheese
- Taco salad
One idea that intrigues me is no cook meals. Since I stink at cooking, maybe this would minimize kitchen disasters? Here's a few links to some good sounding no cook meals:
