You know, it really doesn't have to be fancy. It needn't involve classy restaurants or expensive tickets or getting dressed up to the nines. And it doesn't necessarily require a lot of pre-planning or sweating the details.
It's about setting time aside to enjoy each other's company.
Which means that it could be as low-key and budget-friendly as enjoying an ice cream cone and people watching and taking a walk in the park... as lovely as appreciating the golden hues of the setting sun... as fun and silly as driving around town listening (and singing along to) your favourite songs cranked up to high volume.
Fancy pre-planned date nights are a treat, to be sure.
But I think the low-key times we spend together - talking, connecting, laughing - may very well be my favourite kind of date nights.
What's your favourite date night or time out with friends?
