So I haven't been copy & pasting my posts from Stress and Stars over here for the last several posts.
There's a couple of reasons for that. I had some trouble logging in for a bit, and having the copy & paste the whole thing over from there while dealing with the inevitable format issues I seem to have taking the post wholesale from blogger over here has been a seriously inconvenient mess. I'm not that bothered by it... it's just that i've been really busy lately, and I haven't wanted to deal with anything that smacked of notable effort.
How lazy is that, huh? Heh.
In any case, I'll give y'all here at BlogHer the shortened version of my last several entries, with the links included:
Working in retail is exhausting. My hours jumped up recently at work, and I am really feeling standing on concrete all day long. Be nice to your retail workers and service industry people; we are routinely treated like trained chimpanzees unworthy of the slightest respect. If your cashier at Wal-mart can't seem to crack a smile, keep in mind that she works a thankless, underpaid job with little to no benefits and has more people snipe at her during a day than should ever be considered acceptable.
I want to be a writer when I grow up. Or an artist. Or someone who can plan things successfully. Any of the above would be okay with me.
I went to the E.R., for reasons I'm not truly comfortable disclosing. At least not yet. Suffice to say that being a woman is, occasionally, terrifying and uncomfortable and something you have to cry about. Also I have some of the best friends in the world.
Our pond in our apartment complex is coated in geese, with many half-grown goslings, a few little baby ones, and some ducklings for good measure, too.
I have had such a busy week I barely had time to think until today.
Last night it stormed, and it was absolutely insane.
I think that about covers it...
Hopefully I can get back on track with updates now!
