Acts of Service

Take the quiz to find out your love language!

Now if you found out that your love language or the love language of your loved one is "Receiving Gifts", don't be fooled into thinking this means this person is materialistic. This type of person just enjoys tangible items that they can see, it makes them feel appreciated and thought of. These items don't have to be expensive, they only have to be well thought out.

Here are some ideas:

1. Use your hands and create something beautiful through painting, crocheting, knitting or sewing! Make them scarf or a hat, or even paint a ceramic mug for them!

2. Get them a gift card! Do you notice that they have a favorite store? Then get them a gift card to that store, this way they can buy what they like and/or what they need!

3Get them something they've been noticing. Have you been noticing them looking at a specific sweater or new headphones? Then why not buy it for them! No matter how big or small, they will appreciate knowing that you've been paying attention to their needs and that you care to try and help them!

4. Send them a card. Maybe you're not near the person (like maybe they live in another state or are overseas) then send them a card. Just knowing that you took the time to buy them something and send it can really make them feel special.

5. Look around. Did you notice a pretty flower today? Or maybe a pretty stone on the floor? Bring it to them! It sounds silly but tell them why it reminded you of them and they will know that you're always on their mind and they will feel important and happy to know that you care!
