In the past, I have had the pleasure of working in Sales and Marketing departments for some pretty interesting organizations. As an entrpreneur who is about to relaunch my site, and co-owner of a full design studio, I still find that I am very much wearing my sales hat.
One of the most significant pieces of advice I would give my team is to NOT look to open new business on Fridays. Don't look for new leads, or try to initiate a deal. Make Fridays your "wrap it up" days. Most business owners and or decision makers are interested in wrapping up unfinished business for the week. Your best bet then, is to approach the people you already have open business with and try to close them!
