Working Girl Power

From the time I found out I was pregnant, I worried about having to work while having a baby – knowing that I wouldn’t want to be apart from him.  It really freaked me out.  I wanted to time travel back to the ’60s when women didn’t work.  Just kidding. Sort of.

I love my job – I’m in marketing & PR – and I worked ALL of the time prior to having Thomas.  Sometimes, I bite off more than I can chew.  I like to be involved.  I like to do things… and that usually results in a lot more work.  Nights & weekends weren’t really a big deal because my husband works at night and on the weekends.

So I was afraid that I would make the choice to be at work rather than be at home.  I was afraid that I would not get to spend much time with Thomas, and that time would slip by me and I’d miss things.  Or, that I would sacrifice work to be with Thomas.  Read the rest >
