Why Am I Still Here?

Has anyone else found themselves scrolling through a website and suddenly think 'I'm not enjoying this?'

The amount of times I've thought this and kept going is getting embarrassing. I did manage to take my twitter activity down to once or twice during the week, but I'm just beginning to kick Tumblr. And it still keeps me up to an insane hour until I realize the effort I'm putting into it. Now I've got NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo to keep me busy but the sirens are always calling. You can be sure of that. It's very easy to get caught up in all the news that's flying at you a mile a minute. Then there's the all the foolishness you expect to see on those sites. I realize I have a lot of mood swings and I should take a break, I should go out....I look at the time and see it's almost ten. And let's be honest I can't just go prancing off into the night, safety first.

I did manage to go out today and see a friend I haven't seen in months. Not for long since I had to take three damn buses, but it was fun. Of course being at the mall when you have no money is slightly saddening. Though I was distracted by the ungodly amount of Christmas decorations. Maybe I've got the date wrong, but wasn't Halloween yesterday? So we had a good laugh about that. We also couldn't figure out who would want to hang those ugly things up or have some creepy doll singing to them. What's up with that Macy's? Despite that and the fact that shops on the second floor appeared to charge ten dollars more than other stores for the same product, I had a good time. Also tried out sweetened green tea from Starbucks and I'm a routine type of person. First, I want to apologize to my taste buds. Secondly, *in Mushu's voice* Shame on you! Shame on your cow! I can't complain too much, I would really like to get out more but with mobile apps I have titans of distraction walking around with me. I do a reasonably well job of listening while doing other things, but most people would stop talking if you look at your phone.

Who blames them though? Short of turning off my phone, which I still use for actual calls, I'm at a lost. Without thinking about it I will open these apps moments after thinking I've become bored with them. I need  social media help.
