We made it home from Seattle late last night. Only after stopping for supper.
Now, we usually eat at particular restaurants in areas where we are unfamiliar with local eateries. Last evening was an exception. And what an exception it was.
We pulled into a restaurant called El Agave Mexican Restaurant. We'd never heard of it before but we were hungry for Mexican food and it was "right there". Well . . . . . . the food was awesome! If you're ever in the Raleigh-Durham airport area, look up El Agave. More than worth it. And our meal was less than $25 for two of us!
Today we have laid around and basically done nothing. Well, hubby has. I cooked breakfast - sausage gravy and English muffins. I don't have any store bought biscuits, eggs or milk. I thought about making biscuits from scratch but I'm not crazy about using water when I'm out of milk. I did have English muffins that need to be consumed - so . . . . . We had sausage gravy on English muffins. It was actually very, very good. Try it sometime.
We watched the South Carolina - Tennessee football game. It was a really good game. And, of course, South Carolina won!
For supper I fixed "sloppy chicken tacos". Chicken breast, chopped up real small, mixed with bbq sauce, topped with diced onions, tomatoes, and pickles with a little Miracle Whip on the side. Oh my gosh!!! Talk about incredibly good! Oh, and all that on tortillas.
My knees and back have been killing me this week. In Seattle, I think it was the cold. I've actually gotten to where I like the cooler climates but the cold is hard on my old bones. I didn't get much exercise this last week so I think that may be a contributing factor, also. I need to get the treadmill over here and get back into the routine of walking/running. Perhaps, someday I'll even try for a 5K run/walk. No guarantees though. And tired? Oh so tired.
Tomorrow is church day, NASCAR race, and try to get some more stuff moved. Maybe I'll let hubby mess with the moving stuff (assuming Sandy doesn't dump tons of rain on us) and I'll just hang out here and maybe fix a big pot of beef stew/soup. We can eat some now and then I can put some up for another time or times.
Another glorious day is in the books.
