Please Vote for us in the Good Maker Challenge!
I am in the running to win $5,000 through GOOD Maker
, a new online platform for catalyzing social change
. GOOD has asked the community to submit ideas on how to Share your plan for creating social change this summer , and will invite the public to choose a winner. I proposes to use the funds
to start eco-friendly projects within our community. I will be organizing a group that will help rebuild our community so we can be self-sufficient from food, energy, and transportation. The projects will be to inform people about farmer’s markets and how to build their own garden, alternative energy sources, and the benefits of using public transportation, car-pooling, and riding their bikes, and I need your vote to win
I was inspired by the announcement that the school district presented a month ago. They have to do a huge cut in the budget and that means half-day kindergarten, job losses of teachers and staff, music, art, and sport programs will be eliminated. I feel like if this is going to happen then we need to start working together as a community to uplift and help each other in difficult times.
