First, an introduction.
My name is Mark Bible and I am a Product Manager at CJ Affiliate by Conversant (formerly Commission Junction.) By way of a generous invitation from Sarah Crosby, who heads up our Content Solution team, I will hop a train next Wednesday for a relaxing ride up the coast to attend BlogHer 14—my first.
I could try (and likely fail in a dramatic fashion) to be creative in describing what I do through abstract analogies and dazzling buzz-words. Luckily, my 30-second elevator pitch is less-ambiguous, more succinct and has the benefit of being true: I build tools and services for publishers who want to monetize content on their sites and advertisers who want to promote their products via content publishers. In short, products that save you time, increase opportunity, scale faster.
That said, I’m only successful at my job when the net effect of my effort results in your ability to focus more attention on writing content, interact with your audience and develop new ideas. Ipso-facto, reducing or eliminating the time and attention you have to devote to monetizing the content you create.
I really like being successful, so...
I’ll be on-site beginning Thursday and hanging around the CJ booth (#520) as much as possible! I’m happy to schedule specific meeting times if that works best for you, but please seek me out if you can spare the time. Whether you have millions of unique visitors a month or are just getting started;whether this is your full-time job or a passionate hobby, I want to hear as much as you're willing to share.
I’m always glad to answer questions about what CJ can do for you today and I rarely turn down an opportunity to brag a bit about the things I’ve personally worked on the past couple of years, I’m most interested in what I can do next. Tell me about your work-flow, the challenges you face in establishing merchant relationships or evaluating programs, and procedural and technological inefficiencies that rob you of time. Help me understand what I might be able to deliver in the coming months that will allow you to spend a little more time writing engaging content, interacting with your audience and developing those great new ideas.
I’ve provided my direct contact information below, and I welcome you to reach out with absolutely any questions any time. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone in person next week, and I have no doubt I will leave with a polished perspective on what’s important to the blogger community.
