Some ways to save at your favorite supermarket is as easy as going down the aisle.

Cheese- whole blocks of cheese cost less than pricey pre-shredded cheese.

 

Name brand items are becoming smaller so make sure to compare price per unit to make sure you are getting the most for your cash.

 

Produce- items that are in pre-weighed bags 1-5 lbs are often weigh more or less than advertised.  Weigh a bag and choose the heavy one.  Weigh the sold by unit items such as lettuce so you know you are getting the better value. Buying prewashed, pre cut items – carrots are more expensive than fresh carrots.
