After the holiday well clutter has been put back away for its yearly slumber it’s time to organize the rest of your home, because let’s be honest we can all be just one more box away from being hoarders and as couponer we are often seen as ones so let’s make this year our spend less, save more get organized year.
These are just a few tips to start your organizing. I know “organizing ‘ can be an intimidating word especially if we’ve let things well get a little out of control – kids rooms catch all drawers that closet you don’t ever want to open you know we all have one of these or sometime all of these. Make this your year to purge, donate and or organize. You don’t have to do it all at once pick a room, a drawer or just a spot to begin.
The entrance of your home let’s start there. Everyone’s entrance to their home varies it could be grand enough for a bench or closet or just enough to hold a standing coat rack. Pegs on the wall for seasonal outdoor wear are always an option and can designate each person’s personal space and responsibilities.
No matter the size you can always personalize it and make the most out of your space so that it’s functional and inviting to your guest. A friend has a framed photo of each of her kids and a peg beneath it just so there’s no misunderstanding about whose coats is on the floor in the living room and who’s in the proper place. You can make it a great weekend project give each child their own frame and let them personalize it with their favorite items to make it all their own.
