Today is the day my book “Searching for My Wand” is released, and I am a bundle of nerves. I love this book with all my heart, and I want it to be a huge success, but much like your children, there is only so much you can do to influence such things. Sooner or later you have to send them/it out into the world, step back and hope for the best. Sure, you offer support, but in the end you have to accept that you have done your very best, and now whatever will be, will be.
So I have sent “Searching for My Wand” out into the world, and I hope it is accepted with open arms. It tells the story of a woman who was named after Glinda the Good Witch (incorrectly) and who has spent her whole life trying to live up to the reputation of this fictionalized character. She’s doing as best she can, but at the end of the day she sometimes falls short. Rich with the ups and downs that life throws her way, it is both funny and at times sad, but I’ll give you a spoiler alert, it ends on an upbeat note.
With the holidays upon us, load up those Kindles, Nooks and iPads!
