(VIDEO) Putting it All Together: How You Give Back

Little known fact about me: I cannot watch myself on television. Or any kind of video whatsoever. Which is killing me today because I really want to watch this clip, if only to see Ree and Michelle. Because my god they are both adorable. (Honestly, I may have to suck it up and watch the entire thing, rather than muting it and cringing the entire way through, which is what I did this morning.)

What I liked the most about these girls was this: they get the idea of community, and they understand how important it is to find a way to give back. That and they're both really really funny.

I can't watch the video (seriously, it's killing me), but you can, and then you can go do some good in your neighborhood. The bottom line is this: anything you do to make the world a better place, no matter how big or small, makes the world -- a better place. Go figure.

The other Putting it All Together contributors are weighing in on giving back, and they've got some smart things to share. Sheila says that "community service becomes less of an 'optional thing', but part of my everyday kid raising philosophy and how my family operates - helping neighbors, giving donations when possible and building a community one potluck at a time." Exactly. Be sure to keep your eyes on Sheila, Holly, and Rhoda as we move on into the next video. And please keep sharing your giving back strategies here.

What did we miss? How are you giving back? Let's hear it. I'll be over here cowering behind my hands because omg video!
