Procrastination or Exhaustion? How do we break the barriers that are placed on us before we blog?

There are so many blog posts here, talking about procrastination. And I think that it something that we all suffer with.  I know that since I've started blogging a few months ago, I have been dealing with procrastination. But, more so for me, it's been worried.

I am always worried about putting up readable and enjoyable posts. I am always worried that if I don't have anything interesing to blog about, then I just ask myself, "Why blog in the first place, if you don't have anything good to put up? Well, that's usually my challenge. It is so frustrating to be trying to come up with an idea and I don't have any. I will look at what so many of you post and what's on other people's blogs. Then, I'll think, "Why can't I come with some inspiration?" Why don't I have the words to put up on the blog?" Some of the most frustrating times ever. And of course, Pressure can indeed cause Frustration.

I will sit and write. And sit and write. Just trying to figure out something interesting to say. But, often times, I'll come up with...Jack!

Being a new blogger, I've been reading a lot of people's blogs that have been blogging for some time. And every single one of them all say, Just keep blogging. Just keep blogging. It gets hard, but keep going. At some point, you'll find your voice. The problem is, when it comes to talking, I've never had a problem finding my voice. I talk all of the time. Well, not as much as I used to. But, I told my Mom, that since I have a blog, I'd be able to get out everything of my head onto my blog. Both here on BlogHer and on my other blog. But, I'll have trouble with coming up with something to write about. Blogging fascinates and excites me. And I absolutely love it. But, it would be really nice to be able to have an endless fountain of blogging ideas and inspiration to blog about. Also, it would be great for me to have a camera. Because photos, makes a big difference in the world of blogging.

It is so important to have some type of image, to help explain your point. But, I am looking around for a good and reasonably priced camera. Because I ordered one on eBay and after three months, it still hasn't arrived. So, I don't know what's going on. But, I certainly do wish that I could get a refund. Anyway, I digress. And as I am sure that you have seen by now, I am still trying to figure out how to get photos from flickr to my BlogHer page. I can do it for my other blog, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it here. Denise on BlogHer gave me tips on how to do it. I tried figuring out how to utilize the great advice she gave me. But, those of you that has read my BlogHer blog page, can see my difficulty. Yes, Pressure is a major reality, isn't it?

Blogging is indeed like a precious flower, just Ree Drummond said. You must nurture it, and insure it's growth. So, as I grow, I hope that my blogs will, too. And if anyone have any tips that would help on anything that I just mentioned, please by all means, feel free to share them with me.  God bless!
