Today is national Poem in Your Pocket Day.
The idea is simple: select a poem you love during National Poetry Month then carry it with you to share with co-workers, family, and friends. You can also share your poem selection on Twitter by using the hashtag #pocketpoem.
Go search the Internet for your favourite poem, print it out, and then tuck it in your pocket so you can whip it out to read to people throughout the day.
Better yet, consider all of us a willing audience. We'd love to hear what poems you're carrying around in your pocket today.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
What are you carrying today?
