My name is Melissa Logsdon and all of my life I have been a one-woman show. I have always sang to the beat of my own drum, happy to be unlike the rest. I don't go around with purple hair or very outlandish outfits...I'm not Lady Gaga! But if that was the case, I would not have a problem with it because I am secure in whatever I choose to do. One early childhood memory I have is sitting in front of the tv watching a new show with a fabulous character that was unlike any other. He was called 'Mork' and he made a great team with Mindy, the lady on the show with him. I couldn't have known watching that show all those years ago that I would someday be in front of the camera as well, making funny videos and loving every minute of it. Of course, I am no big star as far as 'Hollywood' is concerned but nevertheless....I'm a star. I'm starring in 'Melissa Logsdon, A One-Woman Show' everyday when I wake up, whether I will be in front of the camera that day or not. When I am not in front of the camera, I am on social media sharing the videos that I have filmed in case someone important is watching, like you. I truly love writing and performing sketch comedy because it makes me happy. When I realized how exciting it was and that I could do it myself with a cheap camera and a wobbly tripod, I just let it all out. Nothing in life is perfect or guaranteed but am I truly a star? Yes. Can you have my autograph? Yes. Can you get a picture with me? Ok now you're smothering me a little and I may or may not need a restraining order. Thanks for checking out my blog post; be sure to check out a new episode of 'The Comedy Kitchen' as I take on the role of Rachael Ray as she tries to add 'comedian' to her resume!
