Once again, designer Malan Breton proves that he's at the top of his fashion game during New York Fashion Week.

Brocades that shimmered and changed color with the light. An explosion of over-sized white paillettes painstaking attached to a glistening white duster, fat, chunky knits in brilliant red, soft pink and nude, sensuous moto jackets all floated out of Taiwanese born designer Malan Breton’s head and landed gracefully on the runway in Gotham Hall during New York Fashion Week’s Autumn Winter 2016 season.
I don’t know what planet Malan lives on, but I want to go there. His show encompassed men’s and women’s fashion. Men’s suits were sleekly tailored in the European style. One standout was a red velvet double-breasted waistcoat. Another killer look was a black velvet suit and his outwear! When you see a man in an oversized chunky turtleneck paired with bronze pants, your heart skips a beat.
Women’s wear; always his forte jumped to the next level. Designs were sleek, sophisticated and just slightly badass. Whether it was a multi-colored brocade halter neck jumpsuit paired with knee high boots and a chunky belt—worn by RHOBH Camille Grammer’s daughter, Mason, or a model commanding the stage in a black alligator moto jacket and blue/red brocade gown, or any of his insanely gorgeous and slinky gowns, they showcased his vision and his skill.Looking at the clothing parading down the runway, it’s easy to see why Malan is one of the few Project Runway participants to make it; he’s got impeccable taste, insane design skills and leaps from strength to strength.
