November: 30 Days of Thankfulness

We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.  ~Cynthia Ozick

Welcome November! We have said goodbye to October, Halloween is over and we are on the cusp of the Holiday Season jumping in to full swing. This month alone we have Veteran’s Day which is a super important holiday around my house, Thanksgiving, and of course Black Friday (I mean that’s kind of like a holiday right?) My daughters 2nd birthday is also this month which is crazy just to think about! (This time two years ago I was ginormous, miserable, excited, nervous, and hadn’t even considered starting this blog! My how times have changed!) Of course the most widely acknowledged and celebrated of these holidays is Thanksgiving. It’s a time many spend with family and friends remembering all of the things they are thankful for in this life. So as that is the case I have decided that each day this month I will publish a brief post letting everyone know what things I am thankful for. In addition, I’ve committed to a blog challenge that requires me to post each day this month so it’s definitely going to be a busy month with lots of exciting new content (so if you don’t know if you’ll remember to check the blog EVERY day and you’re not already following on FB, go herenow and click the like button so you don’t miss anything! If you prefer Twitter, click here to follow.) I will also be challenging each of you to share all the things you are thankful for throughout the month. I say get started and quit wasting time:

Day 1: I am thankful for my family. Not just my husband, my son, and my daughter, but my mom, dad, grandparents, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, step siblings, and the list could go on. Events over the past week have especially reinforced this for me and good experiences or bad, without these people in my life, their love, support, and yes at times criticism, I wouldn’t be who I am today so for each and every one of them and their influences throughout my life, I am thankful.

So give it some thought and let me know in the comments below, what are the things in this life that you are most thankful for? Thanks for reading!
