[NEW FEATURE!] Must-Follow Mondays: This Week, Humor Blogs

Mondays are so.... darn Mondayish. So here at BlogHer, we decided to perk up that longest of weekdays with some Must-Follow magic. Each week, we'll make a list of some of our favorite blogs in different categories—humor, vegan with attitude, biracial and multi-racial families, you name it—to help you discover fabulous new voices (and some of the all-time classics) that you can follow right here on BlogHer.

What does "follow" mean, when we're not talking Twitter? It means that if you follow a blog on BlogHer.com, it will be served up to you on your homepage when you come back and visit—so you can see the latest from your favorite voices (and your newest favorite voices) in one place. (If the blog we name is not a BlogHer blog, we include links to the site and social media feeds. We like being useful!)

Unlike some lists in the blogosphere, ours are not meant to be definitive. So please share YOUR favorites in each category in the comments section each week. We will use this as a discovery tool ourselves, and we'll come back around with a NEW list of NEW favorites. It's the internet, people! There's room for everybody!

In the meantime, check out our first category: HUMOR. Here are six women who make Monday worth living through. Check them out, stat.

Awesomely Luvvie is touted as "Best Humor Blog Ever -- Serving Pop Culture Tea," and it lives up to the claim, offering a strong, sharp brew of side-eye, Scandal fandom, and random LOL material, served up in Luvvie's unmistakable singsong patois with a side dish of hilarious GIFs. She calls 'em as she sees 'em--whether the way-too-white Emmys or a celebrity's ill-chosen "alphet" --and she takes no prisoners—so prepare to bust a gut and fall down #dead..

The biggest words in the tag cloud on Jenni Chiu's self-described "68% humorous" blog are currently HOT NERD and WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING? What more needs to be said? If you're new to Mommy Nani Boo Boo, start with Jenni's hysterical Twitter Rules post ("If you only tweet in Portugese, I will not follow you. I am not Portugese.") Bonus: The 32% serious posts are also brilliantly written.

It is probably not wise to read Una LaMarche's blog at work: The chortling from your cube will surely tip your boss off that you're not hard at work on those TPS reports. Every post in this blog is wonderfully silly and also 100% truth (witness her recent Alternative Glossary of Blog Comments) , and how can you not love the enormous nod to the best TV show ever, Party Down, at the bottom of every page?

Anyone who grew up with soaps will be a sucker for the excellent series on Robyn Welling's blog called As the Dollhouse Turns. The drama! The laughter! The dolls in compromising positions! Grandpa’s little problem! This really needs to be a daily soap because once you start, you will get totally hooked on your "stories."

If you've ever wanted to send the interns emailing you "Dear Blogger" pitches to a picture of Wil Wheaton collating paper, Jenny Lawson (the Bloggess) is for you. Best known for her mixture of biting humor and huge heart, Jenny will keep you in bespectacled taxidermy pictures and dialogue written by her cats. For hilarity you can read in the bathtub, check out her New York Times bestselling memoir, Let's Pretend This Never Happened.

Georgia Getz writes I Am Bossy, except when she draws it. Which, really, is almost always, and always worth it. Whether she's exploring her new loft in Philly or documenting her online dating adventures, Bossy will show you how bloggers are just like you.
